We thought we’d get on the band wagon!
There are a lot of great health benefits to adding pumpkin into your diet. Pumpkin is high in vitamin A, which aids vision. Pumpkins are also high in fiber, which can help you feel full though out the day and can aid in weight loss. Pumpkins are loaded with beta-carotene, which has been shown to prevent certain kinds of cancer. Those same free-radical neutralizing carotenoids that help prevent cancer also help your skin looking radiant and healthy. Pumpkin is loaded with potassium, which helps restore’s the body’s electrolytes. So, eating pumpkin after a workout is great for recovery!
I like to make this shake in the morning to get me started, but it works great as a recovery snack as well.
What You Need:
1/2 cup canned organic pumpkin
Large handful of fresh spinach
1 frozen banana
12oz coconut water
6 ice cubes
pumpkin pie spice to taste
What To Do:
Blend until spinach is fully obliterated and enjoy!
